After trying the standard Sandalwood and thoroughly enjoying it and awarding a 5/5 I honestly did not think it could be beaten but I was wrong. This is such a unique take on Sandalwood in the fact there is obviously the fragrant aspect that comes through but in addition there is some lovely deep, dark, musky undertones behind the scenes which I absolutely love and so easily a further 5/5 for this one too 🙂

Smelled like sophisticated high quality mysore. Not as potent as I like and fine but slightly lacking in that sandalwood depth and power. Extremely nice nevertheless.

I ordered quit a few items (blind). As soon as the package arrived, in record speed. I went straight to the sandalwood extreme box, buried my nose and didn’t take it away for a good while. Like re-living the first time experiencing sandalwood in India. Like meeting an old friend. I burn a little at a time to saviour and surrender to its uplifting quality. There are nuances to the scent neither too fatty/oily or sweet/sickly but buttery woody resinous/sweet but above all very natural smelling that makes you want to dive into the state of mind that it makes space for.

Gorgeous Sandalwood. It is utterly impossible to put this costly stick out halfway in the interests of economy. Once lit, it is irresistible, so perfectly balanced, a wonder that brings to my mind ancient Indian history and distant intangible impressions of life lived in a previous, purer age. Maybe Rama burned an offering such as this! But coming back down to earth, I shall keep these sticks for those special occasions and use the Banaras Sandalwood on a more regular basis. Sandalwood Extreme is quite strong, but never overpowering, and burns for a good long time.

Insanely potent. The scent remains all day. Stunning really stunning. If you like power house strong scents, these can’t be beaten. I love Temple of Incense incense sticks because unlike a lot of the cheaper incense on the market, their incense smells of actual incense- not just burning wood. Sandalwood Extreme is my absolute favourite so far.
