Palo Santo literally translates to meaning ‘Holy Wood’. The fragrant wood is spiritually highly regarded amongst Shamans and Healers and has been used in sacred rituals and for purifying purposes for thousands of years by the indigenous people of South America. The fragrance can be described as a light, sweet, wood scent similar to that of frankincense and neroli. Our sacred palo santo wood incense sticks are lovingly made from 100% sustainably harvested wood without causing any damage to live trees. This wood has been obtained from naturally fallen trees in the forests of Peru. Certified by the National Forest Service and Wildlife of Peru (SERFOR). Each box contains 20 x 3.5-4" 100% Palo Santo incense sticks. The sticks may need re-lighting once or twice but that, combined with the size, makes them perfect for smudging.
