Description
Handmade Indian Small Maa Kali Notebook
Goddess Kali is depicted with perhaps the fiercest features amongst all the world’s deities. Despite this, Maa Kali is close to our hearts as the Mother Goddess. Created from Goddess Durga as the strong, fearful deity to fight evil. She has ten arms, holds several weapons in her hands, a string of skulls as her necklace, and human hands for clothing. Her tongue protrudes from her mouth, her eyes are red, and her face and breasts are covered with blood. Kali’s garland of fifty human heads stands for the fifty letters in the Sanskrit alphabet, symbolizing infinite knowledge. She is often shown standing on the chest of her husband, Shiva.
As the legend goes, in the battle against evil forces, Kali was so much involved in the killing spree that she got carried away and began destroying everything in sight. In a bid to stop her, Shiva threw himself under her feet. Once Goddess Kali realised that it was Shiva she stepped on, she stuck out her tongue in astonishment, and immediately stopped the destruction.
Meditating on Maa Kali is known to bring spiritual power, fulfill desires and increase prosperity. She also eliminates harmful effects of malefic planets, especially Saturn, which are usually responsible for misfortune and suffering.
Maa Kali also protects from black magic and the ill-effects of evil spirits.
